FrameTune is architected with a strict privacy-first methodology. We never collect, transmit, store, monetize, share, or sell your personally identifiable information (PII), browsing history, search terms, or streaming viewing habits. All video processing, scaling algorithms, audio compression, and DOM modifications are executed entirely locally in memory on your computer hardware.
To provide core video playback functionality, the FrameTune extension requests only minimal, indispensable browser permissions:
Required to support our Universal Video Stretcher across streaming websites. This allows the extension to inject CSS transforms and layout adjustments into HTML5 video players. FrameTune does not inspect, log, or monitor your network traffic, URL requests, or browsing history.
Enables temporary communication between the extension toolbar popup and the active video tab when you open the popup controls. FrameTune does NOT request or use broad background tabs permissions.
Persists your personal configuration presets (e.g., custom zoom ratios, Smart Subtitle offsets, Binge Mode toggles) strictly locally in your browser's private storage sandbox. No settings are synced to external cloud servers.

FrameTune TV utilizes the Android AccessibilityService API strictly to provide hands-free streaming convenience across supported platforms (Netflix, Prime Video, JioHotstar, SonyLIV, ZEE5, MX Player, and Viki):
The service scans active on-screen view elements specifically to detect and click "Skip Intro", "Skip Recap", "Next Episode", and ad countdown badges. Detection occurs entirely in volatile RAM and is discarded milliseconds later.
FrameTune never reads, intercepts, or logs virtual or physical keyboard entries, PINs, passwords, payment details, or personal communications.
FrameTune does NOT request or use Android MediaProjection. The application cannot take screenshots, record video feeds, inspect DRM-protected video frames, or stream display contents off your device.

When initiating a connection, our lightweight signaling coordinator (hosted on Cloudflare Workers) facilitates initial NAT traversal and STUN UDP hole-punching between your devices. Public IP addresses and temporary port candidate coordinates are processed strictly and exclusively to match the client device with your home TV server node.
Connection coordinates and pairing knock tokens are held strictly in transient, volatile memory with an ephemeral time-to-live (TTL) of 2 minutes, and are discarded once pairing or hole punching completes. Once matched, all tunneled network traffic between your client device and home TV is encrypted end-to-end with high-performance authenticated cryptography (ChaCha20-Poly1305 with Curve25519 key exchange and anti-replay window enforcement). Intermediate transit networks and signaling coordinators cannot decrypt, inspect, or modify tunneled data packets.
100% of video streaming and browsing data is routed point-to-point (P2P) directly between your own devices. No audio, video, or web content ever passes through or is stored on FrameTune servers.
Mesh pairing uses locally generated cryptographic keypairs and 4-character one-time PINs or optional email allowlists. No user account registry or password database exists on our servers.
FrameTune includes an active privacy protection watchdog (StandbyMicrophoneSentinel) designed to detect if third-party applications or smart TV OEM background processes attempt to engage your television microphone while the screen is in sleep or standby mode.
