Scope of Policy: This Privacy Policy applies exclusively to the FrameTune Browser Extension (for Edge, Firefox, and Chrome). It does not govern the FrameTune Native Desktop Video Player or any future standalone applications, which operate under their own independent policies.

1. Data Collection and Usage

FrameTune is architected with a strict privacy-first methodology. We do not collect, transmit, store, or monetize personal identifiable information (PII) or viewing habits. All video processing, scaling algorithms, and DOM modifications are executed entirely locally on the user's hardware.

2. Browser Permissions Justification

To provide core functionality, the FrameTune extension requires the following browser permissions:

• <all_urls> & Host Permissions: Required exclusively to inject the CSS and JavaScript geometry engine into supported video players. We do not inspect, log, or monitor network traffic or browsing history.
• Storage: Local browser storage API (chrome.storage.local) is utilized strictly to persist user interface preferences (e.g., Aspect Ratio presets, Binge Mode toggles) locally on the device.
• Scripting: Utilized to dynamically execute the video scaling logic only when a supported video rendering target is detected on the active page.

3. Telemetry and Analytics

The extension does not embed third-party analytics, tracking pixels, or telemetry frameworks. No usage data is transmitted to our servers or third-party data processors.
